The County Clerk's Office now accepts credit cards.

Overview

The office of the County Clerk has been in existence in Texas since 1836. In addition to serving as the clerk for the County Court and the County Commissioners’ Court, a County Clerk records and keeps records pertaining to county courts, real and personal property, and personal records. Other responsibilities include recording vital statistics, issuing marriage licenses, birth and death records, collecting court fines and fees, filing and maintaining civil and criminal court documents, and administering other miscellaneous licensing and recording requirements.

The County Clerk has made records available for search and purchase from June 1, 1995 to present Public Search Online.

Additionally to electronically search index books from 1851 to 1995 Texas QuickLink Online and contact my office for purchase.

Note: Senate Bill 1612 has repealed the $1.00 Document Filing fee authorized by Local Government. Code 291.008(d). These fees will be effective January 1, 2024.
